Wild Cat Feeding Station, Coral Bay

Cat Feeding Station Project, Coral Bay

The Cats Me-Wow!

Finished!

The cats jump into the house through a small hole in the floor from below. Volunteers refill water and food from a small door in the front of the station.

A local veterinarian started asking volunteers to build and maintain cat feeding stations all over the island in hopes to help with St. John's ferrel cat problem. This station is maintained by our friend Susan right here in Coral Bay. The cats are fed and watered daily and several times a month new cats to the station are live trapped and brought to the veterinarian to be spayed/neutered and then set free.

Morton Family Visit

Thanks so much for coming! It sure makes us miss home, but these visits help make all the miles between family and friends not seem so far...

End of day, heading back to St. John.
Aunt Sue sporting her new "Bad Kitty" temporary tattoo. Go Sue!

Norman's Island, BVI
"The Caves"
Great snorkle spot. Lots of see under the sea....

View of the British Virgin Islands in the background.

Cooper Island, British Virgin Islands.
We felt we had to tour the BVI being so close. The BVI are only a stones throw away from the U.S. Virgin Islands. We look out at them every day from St. John.
We felt it would have been like living in Arizona and not going to see the Grand Canyon!

Inside one of the more famous grottos...
Nana, Cousin "J", Kirsten, Auntie Sue, Steve and the girls

Here is the entrance into "The Baths" on Virgin Gorda. The Baths were formed by huge volcanic granite boulders dating approximately 70-100 million years old. They are still rising out of the ground from erosion. These boulders lie in piles on top of each other forming lovely pools of water and hidden grottos.

Kids on dock after arriving on island of Virgin Gorda. (Power Cat Bad Kitty in the background).

The kids enjoyed the "upper deck". Great views and wind! What would have taken us 1-2 days on Hook took 50 minutes on the power cat. We were going fast!

Big day on power cat tourboat called "Bad Kitty" to the British Virgin Islands

Surprise visit with cousin Jess!

Haul Over Beach snorkel.

Welcome! We all were so excited to see more family and play tour guides around our new digs!
